We owe the "True Salzburg Mozart-Ball" to the exquisite taste of Joseph Holzermayr, producing confectionaries from 1865 and later Purveyor to the King.
From 1890, as an homage to the music genius, he offered small quantities of hand rolled Mozart-Balls; wrapped in silver foil. Since 1913 they have also been available in the original Josef Holzermayr Confectionary, situated on the Old Market in Salzburg. Meanwhile the "Mozartkugel" is delivered around the globe as an exclusive present.
